The Second Punic War
The greatest empire in recorded history, Rome, has finally met its greatest challenge—the Carthaginians. These two great states refuse to stop spreading their spheres of influence outwards. As a result, Rome and Carthage have come into inevitable, violent conflict. This committee will cover the lead-up to the 2nd Punic War and include the war itself. The dispute between these two great nations will not follow the historical narrative. Instead, delegates will have the opportunity to take up arms on either the Carthaginian or Roman sides, working on their state’s behalf to ensure their empire’s victory. Importantly, all delegates must use research, creativity, and cooperation in order to defeat the other side and protect their nation.
